Please note: These works have been delayed due to weather conditions and a shortage of materials.
Project summary
Widening, rehabilitation and resurfacing works will be carried out on Keirnan Street..
These works will take place between Adams Street and South Western Highway, and will significantly upgrade the road surface and adjacent pavement.
The Shire received a grant funding allocation of $320,000 through a successful application to the State Blackspot Program to undertake this project.
RCA Pty Ltd has been contracted to carry out the works, which are scheduled to begin on 30 May 2022 and will take approximately six weeks to complete.
The road will be closed with temporary traffic management in place to ensure works are completed safely and delays are kept to a minimum.

Project summary
Widening works to Anketell Road are expected to be completed soon.
The works are being carried out on the stretch of Anketell Road between Thomas Road and Tuart Road.
This portion of the road will be widened with 1-metre wide sealed shoulder while the works will also include upgrades to the Anketell Road and Thomas Road intersection.
The Shire has contracted WCP Civil to carry out the works.
The road is currently open but road users are urged to use caution when approaching the area with works not yet complete.

Project summary
Rehabilitation works on Rowley Road (in between Tonkin Highway and Kargotich Road) will be carried out over the coming weeks.
The works will significantly upgrade the current road surface, with the project being funded through the Metropolitan Regional Road Group.
Rowley Road (between Tonkin Highway and Blair Road) will be closed during the construction period, however access for local traffic (residents whose properties are on Rowley Road) will remain.
Detours and traffic management are in place to ensure works are completed safely and delays are kept to a minimum.

Project summary
Widening works to Mundijong Road will be carried out over the coming weeks.
The project objective is to widen the stretch of road from the east end of Duckpond Road to the west end.
This 560m of section of Mundijong Road will be widened with 1.2m seal shoulders in each direction to increase road capacity.
The Shire received a grant funding allocation of $330,000 through a successful application to the Federal Blackspot Program to undertake this project.
The Shire contracted WCP Civil to carry out the works, which are scheduled to being on 9 February 2022 and will take approximately three weeks to complete.
Detours and traffic management will be in place to ensure works are completed safely and delays are kept to a minimum.

Project summary
A portion of Gossage Road (near the intersection of Gossage Road and Boomerang Road) will undergo rehabilitation and widening works over the coming weeks.
The project will see up to 8.4m of widening, including 6.4m wide sealed carriageway.
The Shire has contracted WCP Civil to carry out the works, which are scheduled to start 17 February 2022. They are are expected to take four weeks to complete.
Traffic management will be in place during the works to ensure they are completed safely and delays kept to a minimum.
This project has been made possible under the Federal Government's Road to Recovery Program.

Project summary
Upgrades to Kingsbury Drive (the existing single carriageway road between Scarp Road and Day Road (SLK 22.95 to SLK 23.20)) will be carried out across January and February 2022.
These upgrades will increase road capacity and improve safety of Kingsbury Drive.
Through a successful application to the Metropolitan Regional Road Group (MRRG), the Shire received a grant-funding allocation of $145,000 to rehabilitate the Kingsbury pavement.
The Shire contracted WCP Civil to carry out the works scheduled to start 31 January 2022. They are estimated to take approximately 2-3 weeks to carry out.
Traffic management will be in place to ensure works are completed safely and delays are kept to a minimum.
