Consultation has concluded and a decision has been made.
Outcome
Council adopted a table of short term actions recognised as initial options and opportunities for the West Mundijong Industrial Area at its meeting in March 2023.
For more on Council's decision and to view the entire report, click here.
Background
The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale has been planning for the development of the West Mundijong Industrial Area since 2008. This strategically-located 440-hectare parcel of land has the potential to create several hundred industrial lots and employ in excess of 13,600 people at full buildout.
Enabling the development of the West Mundijong Industrial Area will also be supported by gradual upgrades of local road infrastructure and the delivery of major State Government infrastructure, such as the Tonkin Highway and freight rail deviation.
We are currently seeking your feedback on the future of the West Mundijong Industrial Area, particularly your response to the following questions:
What still needs to be done to realise the vision of the Industrial Area?
What are the differing priorities for such things that still need doing?
What still needs to be done that the Shire can get involved in?
You can view the Revised West Mundijong Industrial Area discussion paper under the "Documents" section of this web page.
How can I have my say?
The public comment period has now closed.
How can I find out more information?
The assessing teams contact details can be found on the right of this page. You can also contact the Shire's Administration Centre on 9526 1111.
