Vary planning approval for Transport Depot and Workshop - Lot 41, 17 Cardup Siding Road, Cardup

Background

On 17 October 2022, Council refused a development application for an amendment to an existing Transport Depot and Workshop at Lot 41, 17 Cardup Siding Road, Cardup.

The application sought to vary the planning approval for the Transport Depot and Workshop, specific to modifying condition 8 so that hours of operation are EXTENDED to be from 6am to 8pm, Monday to Friday.

Currently condition 8 restricts operations for the Transport Depot and Workshop as follows:

Access of service vehicles or operation of forklifts must be restricted to the hours of 7:00am to 7:00pm Monday to Friday and 7:00am to 1:00pm Saturday with no operations to occur on Sunday and public holidays.

Subsequently, the applicant appealed the decision to the State Administration Tribunal (SAT). As part of this process the applicant has provided additional information to support the proposal and Council has been invited to reconsider its decision.

Public comment is now being sought on the additional information as part of the reconsideration, specifically an updated Site Plan, Acoustic Assessment and Noise Management Plan.
