Where would you like to see a Regional Playground in Serpentine Jarrahdale?

The Shire is one of the fastest growing local governments in WA. As this hypergrowth is set to continue far into the future there is a strong need to develop community facilities that will help shape the Shires growth. The Shire has a great opportunity to deliver a prime item of regional infrastructure and community facility through government grants for a future Regional level playground facility. We need your help and feedback in selecting the preferred location which will contribute towards the Shires advocacy for the project for the 2027/28 State and Federal elections.

Here's why we need your input:

The first critical step, however, to deliver this project is to find a preferred site that forms the basis of future design and advocacy. Finding a preferred location will allow the Shire to develop a strong narrative in order to advocate for future funding to build. Such a facility, being of regional drawcard size and extent, will need to rely heavily on external grants to meet the expected capital cost of between $5m to $10m.

Possible Locations:

  1. Woodland Grove Public Open Space
  2. Cardup Brook (co-located near future Orton Road District Open Space)
  3. Keirnan Park
  4. Clem Kentish Reserve
