Outcome
The Western Australian Planning Commission approved the Lot 9001 Utley Road and Lot 9002 Wattle Road Local Structure Plan on 5 November 2021. A copy of the approved plan is available to view on the Shire’s Structure Plan webpage.
Background
Notice is hereby given that Hex Design and Planning has prepared the above mentioned structure plan in regard to land located at Lot 9001 Utley Road and Lot 9002 Wattle Road, Serpentine.
The proposed Local Structure Plan covers a total area of approximately 91.30ha and is located within the suburb of Serpentine and is situated approximately is 2.7km west of the South Western Highway and 2.5km south-west of the Serpentine Town Centre. The proposed LSP will guide the subdivision of an estimated 39 lots for future rural residential development, consistent with the Shire’s Town Planning Scheme provisions and the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations, 2015.
The intended land uses within the Structure Plan include:
39 Special Rural lots;
Retention of the ‘homestead’
Strategic firebreak/bridle trail along the western boundary
Plans and documents setting out and explaining the proposal have been deposited at the Shire’s administration building at 6 Paterson Street, Mundijong and is available for inspection during office hours between 8:30am to 5pm.
