What is the zoning of the subject site?

What is the land use of the proposal?
The proposal falls within the definition of an ‘Extractive Industry’ under the Shire’s Town Planning Scheme No.2. An Extractive Industry is a discretionary land use meaning that Council, at its discretion may, permit the use.
Why is the Shire engaging on this project?
The Shire is required to engage in accordance with Local Planning Policy 1.4 – Public Consultation for Planning Matters (LPP1.4).
LPP1.4 identifies that for any development that is likely to impact on the amenity of adjoining properties or any sensitive receptors requires a notice of the development proposal to be posted on the Shire’s website.
