Is a mobile concrete batching plant a land use that can be considered within this area?
The area of the site in which the proposal is to take place is zoned ‘Urban Development’ in accordance with the Shire’s current Town Planning Scheme No.2. The ‘Urban Development’ zone is a ‘placeholder’ zone for further detailed planning to be done for the site through structure plans. There is a Local Structure Plan for the site which designated the block a zoning of ‘Industry General’. The proposal is therefore a land use that can be considered for approval under this designated zoning, through the development application process.
