Background
The Shire received a development application for a Child Minding Centre at Lot 102 (13) and Lot 103 (15) Beenyup Road, Byford.
The applicant opted for the application to be determined by the Metro Outer Joint Development Assessment Panel (JDAP) who replaced the Shire as the determining authority.
The development application sought approval for a single storey building with landscaped outdoor play spaces and car parking.
The proposal entailed the following features:
A maximum of 90 children, comprising of 25 children less than 24 months old, 31 children aged between 24 to 36 months and 34 children aged over 36 months;
A maximum of 18 staff members at full capacity;
Operation hours are proposed between 6:30am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday; and
A 27-bay car parking area, including one universal access bay and a drop off/loading bay.
