Local Planning Policy 4.21 is designed to assist in facilitating tourism development within the Shire’s rural zones.
Four formal written submissions were received for Local Planning Policy 4.21: Rural Short Stay Accommodation through the Your Say SJ community engagement process.
These submissions were generally supportive of the proposal and provided further guidance with regard to aspects of the policy.
Detailed evaluation of the submissions and further engagement through the Shire’s Equine Advisory Group resulted in some improvements to the draft local planning policy which was unanimously supported by Council at the Ordinary Council Meeting on 19 April 2021.
