Council endorses Concept Design for Byford Hall upgrades

The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale Council endorsed the new concept design for Byford Hall to accommodate the Shire’s Library Services at its June Ordinary Council Meeting.

Three concept plans for the new layout of the hall were developed following community feedback in April and were subsequently released for community consultation.

Following the community consultation, Council resolved to proceed with Concept Design Option 2.

This option will allow for minimal change to the building footprint and offers improved functionality of multipurpose meeting spaces, work rooms and planning areas.

The endorsed concept design will now progress to the detailed design phase.

Funding to deliver the upgrades to Byford Hall will be considered as part of the Shire’s 2021/22 Budget.
