At its May meeting, Council resolved the following decisions:
1.DESIGNATES the Jarrahdale Oval (Reserve 6428, being Lot 2657 Millars Road) as an “off leash dog exercise area with an EXCLUSION to the designation during Shire approved community events, functions or activities on Jarrahdale Oval” as detailed in the required local public notice specifying this designation as per Section 31 of the Dog Act 1976;
2.NOTES signage, skirts for gates and drinking bowl will be installed at the Jarrahdale Oval (in accordance with current budget availability) to provide the necessary signage and infrastructure for dogs being “off leash” within the reserve, and to ensure that exclusion to the designation during Shire approved community events, functions or activities on Jarrahdale Oval is clearly detailed.
3.REQUESTS that signage reflect the condition on the designation not permitting dogs off leash during Shire approved community events, functions or activities on Jarrahdale Oval.
