Background:

The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale is seeking your feedback on Draft Local Planning Policy (LPP) 4.22 – Development of Heritage Places and Areas – Jarrahdale Heritage Precinct.

The purpose of the policy is to:

  • Ensure that development conserves, protects and celebrates places of cultural heritage significance in Jarrahdale;
  • Ensure that heritage considerations are given due regard in local planning decision making;
  • Provide improved certainty to landowners and the community about the planning processes for heritage places within the Jarrahdale Townsite; and
  • Clarify the format and content of accompanying material in accordance with Clauses 63(1)(d) and 63(3), Schedule 2 of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015.

At its Ordinary Council Meeting on 21 October 2024, Council resolved to adopt Draft LPP 4.22 for the purposes of public consultation.

Submissions on the draft LPP4.22 may be lodged by one of the following ways:

  • A written submission, submitted by mail or in person to 6 Paterson Street, Mundijong, including the reference number: SJ4363

Submissions open on Monday, 20 January, and close Monday, 5pm, on 10 February.
