About this project:
The Shire is seeking community input on the draft Clay-Based Wetlands Management Plan.
The Shire has a number of individual management plans for natural area reserves. Many of these management plans are more than ten years old and require updating. In the meantime, the best practice style for a management plan has also changed.
The draft Clay-Based Wetlands Management Plan is the third in a series presenting a new style for managing the Shire’s natural reserves. The reserves are grouped according to vegetation complex into four management plans. The Banksia Woodland Management Plan was the first produced, the Marri Woodland Management Plan the second, and the draft Clay-Based Wetlands Management Plan the third.
The draft Clay-Based Wetlands Management Plan contains information relevant to managing any area of clay-based wetland, plus Action Plans for the four Shire reserves which contain clay-based wetlands.
