Background
The Shire has received a Development Application for Alterations to an approved Tree Grinding Facility (non-conforming use).
On 23 February 2015, Council approved a development application described as a ‘Tree Grinding Facility’ (‘Light Industry’ and ‘Transport Depot’) at the subject site. The development involved the receival of green waste and pallets for processing (80% of material from pruning and removal of trees and 20% of untreated timber pallets).
As proposed, the Tree Grinding Facility would remain, however would be reduced in area. A ‘Transport Depot’ independent to the Tree Grinding facility also forms part of the application.
