The Shire has recently reviewed our Council Policy - Vehicle Crossings Subsidy. This Policy is recommended for rescindment, as it is predominantly based on the provision of a crossover subsidy to residential landowners and how this is calculated.

A new Council Policy - Crossovers, will be recommended for adoption, in lieu. This new Policy, in conjunction with the Standard Specifications for Construction of Crossovers, sets the requirements for construction of crossovers as well as the eligibility for a crossover subsidy.

The Shire invites the community to review the Council Policy on Crossovers and the associated Standard Specifications for Construction of Crossovers and provide further comment or feedback for consideration, prior to progressing this Policy and the specifications to Council for adoption.

It is important to note that this Policy and the Standard Specifications for Construction of Crossovers does not come into effect until Council adopt the revised Policy and specifications. From the date which Council adopts the revised Policy, any new crossover applications are required to comply with this Policy and associated Standard Specifications for Construction of Crossovers.
