Upgrades to the Briggs Park Cark Park have now been completed, with 47 new bays added between the Serpentine Jarrahdale Community Recreation Centre and Mead Street.

The need for additional parking at the facility was identified through the Briggs Park Recreation Precinct Masterplan to meet increased demand.

The project was carried out by Delta Pty Ltd and was funded following a successful grant application through the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program (LRCI program).

Landscaping and lighting works will now be carried out over the coming months, and are expected to be complete by May 2022.

The car park has now completely reopened to traffic.

Thank you for the feedback - we will pass this on to our Engineering Services Team

  • Share I would like to ask if disability bays are going to be closer to the entrance. I find it very difficult getting into that center due to the distance i have to walk. Can you also make sure that disable bays dont have future overhanging bushes, and poles are placed not too far back and at a good height in the bay to make it easier to see and give more ability to turn your vehicle when backing out. If the bays are raised please make sure there is enough room on both sided of the car and to the back for easy access. The project was to upgrade and seal the rear of building gravel/dilapidated car park, which construction of has only recently been completed.

There is no proposal to alter any of the existing sealed car parking to the front of the building where the disabled bays are located.
