Wheel LIFE - Disability Awareness Initiative

The Shire has engaged Rebound WA to run their Wheel Life program locally, this is a disability awareness program where participants learn about life with a physical disability through open conversation and sports.

Join Clint Morgan from Rebound WA for an informative and inclusive look into what its like to live with a physical disability.

Wheel LIFE is a program designed to motivate and educate, in a fun and inclusive environment.

Introduction

Meet Clint and hear about how he came to be in a wheel chair and what every day life is like for him.

Activity

Through this session you will learn how to control a sports wheel chair, through a progressive series of warm up activities.

You’ll then learn some basketball skills like dribbling and team plays in the chair follow by informal wheel chair basketball games.

Conclusion

Finish off the day with a question and answer session, no question is too big or small, be it disability or sports related.
