Beginner Auslan Classes in SJ

The Shire is looking to host a free Basic Auslan course, this course comprises of 8 x 2hour sessions delivered by Access Plus WA Deaf, participants are expected to attend all sessions. Interested participants are asked to download and submit and Expression of Interest (EOI) form from the documents section of this page.

The first round will be delivered beginning in October 2021 and depending on interest levels and the success of the first course, future courses may also be offered.

It is anticipated that the first round will be delivered on Monday nights 6-8pm commencing Monday 11 October. If this time is not suitable but you are still interested please submit your EOI with preferred time details.

Please submit your expression of interest to info@sjshire.wa.gov.au or in person at the Shire office by 5pm Friday 24 September to be considered for the first round. Hard copies of the EOI form are also available from the Mundijong Library, Shire Administration office and the Serpentine Jarrahdale CRC.

Participants will be contacted with updated details and confirmed places by 5pm Monday 4 October. EOIs for unsuccessful participants will be kept on file for future opportunities.
