This consultation has concluded and a decision has been made.
Outcome
Council approved this development application at its meeting on November 21, 2022.
Background
The Shire has received a development application for a Transport Depot at Lot 10, 12 Tunney Road, Oldbury
The Transport Depot would enable the parking of two trucks associated with the distribution of non-hazardous agricultural chemicals.
The chemicals would be received within sealed ISB or ISO containers for liquids and large sealed bags for dry materials. The goods would generally be transferred from vehicle to vehicle for distribution, however should materials be required to be stored onsite before transfer, this would occur within the sheds.
The proposed hours of operation are 7am – 5pm on weekdays with the employment of approximately 6-8 staff.
The anticipated traffic generation from the proposal is four commercial truck movements per day. Two trucks would remain on site as a driver would reside within the existing dwelling and an additional employee is to arrive on site each day.
The subject site is currently developed with a poultry farm, the use of which is proposed to be discontinued.
