FAQs
Why is a toilet facility being built at Jarrahdale Cemetery?
The proposed toilet facility was identified to address the lack of amenity available to visitors to the Jarrahdale Cemetery.
Given the location of the Jarrahdale Cemetery is also opposite the entrance to Kitty’s Gorge trail within the Serpentine National Park, it is proposed to install the toilet facilities at a location which can service visitors to both locations.
Where will the toilet facility be placed?
The Shire has completed a detailed site analysis and determined the most suitable location within the Cemetery, which will also service visitors to the Kitty’s Gorge Trail.
What will the size and design of the toilet facility be?
The toilet facility will be designed in a sympathetic manner to the landscape setting of Jarrahdale Cemetery.
Will the public be able to comment on the design and location?
Yes. Residents within the surrounding vicinity of the proposed location for the toilet facility and the community are invited to provide feedback on the design and location via this webpage.
Who is delivering the project?
The project is being delivered by the Shire, with financial contributions from the Shire as well as the State Government.
