FAQs
What is the Infrastructure Fund?
These funds are open to community groups to submit an expression of interest for Council consideration towards projects involving the design, implementation and construction of infrastructure projects on Shire owned or managed facilities or reserves.
Supported projects are then delivered by the Shire as the land and asset owner/manager, within the budget allocated.
Where can I find out more about the Infrastructure Fund?
Information about all Shire community contribution schemes including eligibility criteria and application forms can be found on the Shire website here: sjshire.wa.gov.au/community/your-community/grants-and-funding
What if I like both applications? Do I have to only select one?
The combined value of the applications currently under consideration is within the available funds for the 2020/2021 Infrastructure Fund scheme. Hence, feedback is requested on the two projects individually.
If you support both applications, please simply make this known in your response.
Who will make a final decision on these projects?
Once community feedback is gathered it will be presented to Council who will have the final decision on successful projects.
My community group has a project that would benefit the community, how can I submit an Infrastructure Fund request?
Infrastructure Fund expressions of interest are open annually.
