Will the Serpentine Jarrahdale Community Recreation Centre remain open during these works?
Yes, the Serpentine Jarrahdale Community Recreation Centre will remain open during the construction period.
Visitors to the Centre are advised to use caution and drive carefully when accessing the area.
Will I be able to access the car park during the works period?
A section of the car park will be cordoned off by temporary fencing to facilitate the upgrades. Visitors are advised to exercise caution when accessing any of the facilities at Briggs Park.
How long will this project take?
Works will commence August 2021 and will take approximately 8 weeks to complete (weather permitting).

Who is carrying out construction works?
The Shire has contracted Delta Pty Ltd to carry out the works.
Who is funding this project?
On 22 May 2020 the Australian Government announced a new $500 million Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program (LRCI Phase 1 Program).
The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale was successful in securing funding of $673,030 to use for local road and community infrastructure.
This funding will be used to complete the Briggs Park Recreation Precinct Car Park Stage 1 project, as well as footpath and streetlight upgrades within the Shire.
